Our Trade Expo for Day 1& 2 of the 3rd ANZ Conference is at RMIT University Melbourne City Campus, Alumni Courtyard. 15 x 3m x 3m powered sites are available under a covered marquee and 2 x Outdoor technology displays. Our Trade Expo is designed for Biomass Producers, Biochar Producers, Biochar Product Manufacturers, Fertiliser & Compost Producers, Associated Industries such as Farming Equipment, etc and will adjoin ANZBC19. The trade expo will help our audience be inspired for large scale, commercial use of biochar. It is a great opportunity to showcase to and network with Growers & Farmers, Foresters, Policy Makers, Biochar Producers, Industry Professionals, Entrepreneurs, Students and interested citizens.

Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) is an Australian public research university located in Melbourne, Victoria.Founded by Francis Ormond in 1887, RMIT began as a night school offering classes in art, science, and technology, in response to the industrial revolution in Australia. It was a private college for more than a hundred years before merging with the Phillip Institute of Technology to become a public university in 1992. Conhur – The DMax system allows for the recycling and beneficial reuse of materials from a variety of waste streams and in particular sludges from digesters and lagoons by separating the sands, grits and plastics from the final dewatered cake. It is proven to deliver an 80% reduction in waste to landfill volumes in applications at municipal waste water treatment works in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. We are developing a value added biochar product.
Byron Biochar – delivers bio-products and bio-services for industrial, commercial & domestic applications. This includes direct bio-product supply, a mobile Biochar Service, DIY educational workshops, consultancy and is the founder and event coordinator of the 3rd Australia New Zealand Biochar Conference 2019 (ANZBC19).
Australian and New Zealand Biochar Initiative Inc. (ANZBI) is a collaborative group of scientists, engineers, growers and other stakeholders interested in advancing the understanding and application of biochar materials and getting viable biochar projects in the ground. Collectively, our aim is to collaborate on research programs, promote and advocate the adoption of biochar investigation and use, and communicate the opportunities presented by biochar to policy makers, land managers, the public, industry and fellow scientists. We offer members a discount to the annual biochar conference and a full set of recordings thereafter, biochar books and access to the full membership via a members directory. We are working on developing a set of standards for biochar in soil, an economic white paper and marketing.
Olsson’s Livestock Nutrition
Olsson’s 1st salt block was produced in 1949 in a shed just west of Parramatta. It was the first pressed salt block produced in Australia to contain a range of minerals and was the forerunner of all the multi-nutrient blocks produced in Australia from that time onwards.
Ever since, Olsson’s have been at the forefront of ruminant technology and education of the grazier about the latest break-throughs in this field. That has never been more true than today. Olsson’s continue to support the research and development of ruminant nutrition through University tests and field trials. Olsson’s have been fortunate enough to gain the consultancy services of Prof. Leng AO (Armidale University), one of Australia’s foremost experts on ruminant nutrition.
Carboncor Australia – Carboncor is an environmentally friendly range of asphalt road and soil stabilization products, created using local aggregates, a specially formulated anionic bitumen emulsion and locally available carbon containing elements. The water-based, cold asphalt premix can be used as a permanent wearing course for new roads, for resurfacing existing roads, and for pothole maintenance and repair. It was initially developed 20 years ago in South Africa as a cost-effective solution for mining companies to install roads in remote and rural areas. Since then it has been installed across South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, and is now manufactured and available in Australia, Vietnam and Malaysia. Further manufacturing facilities will soon be available in Indonesia, Philippines and Myanmar. Carboncor has a number of advantages over traditional asphalt alternatives providing for a more durable surface, that is often quicker and more cost effective to install. Since last year, Carboncor also successfully uses as much as 20% BioChar in the production of its cold premix, being applied as wearing course for medium duty roads, as well as soil stabilization concentrates.
